Hosting Spaces – Tom's Outdoor Living

Hosting Spaces

When asked to create a space perfect for hosting friends and family, we knew just the kind of vibe to go for. Many of the staff at Tom’s also has families with kids or grand kids so we love designing this kind of space!

Integrating a structure like this into an existing home is one of the harder problems in outdoor design— the proportions, materials, and sightlines all have to work with what’s already there. Get it right, and you’d never know it was added. The covered patio houses a full outdoor kitchen, integrated fireplace, pergola, and overhead heaters, giving the space genuine four-season functionality.

The landscaping was designed and installed entirely in-house, with our designers and horticulturists collaborating from the start. The planting works both in managing drainage across the full backyard while also featuring organic bed shapes and carefully placed lighting that give the space warmth and depth after dark.

Built to entertain. Built to last.
